On March 24, students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of BSU visited OJSC “AGAT-Control Systems” – Managing Company of “Geoinformation Control Systems” Holding as part of their career guidance.

For third-year students who will be faced with a distribution in a year, the tour became an opportunity not only to see the modern enterprise from the inside, but also to evaluate AGAT as a potential place for professional fulfilment.  

The representatives of profession-oriented divisions gave presentations to the students, and spoke in details about:  
·         the specifics of working with high-tech systems, 
·         requirements for modern developers, 
·         current projects that teams of developers are working on today. 

Special attention was paid to the requirements for the level of personnel training and the technological challenges that the company is addressing today.  

The students were met not only by experienced specialists and managers, but also by employees who had recently joined AGAT after graduation. They shared their employment experiences, talked about the challenges of their first year of work and – with pride – about the projects they are currently working on. The guests learned about internship opportunities, the employment of fourth-year students, the mentoring system at the enterprise, opportunities for professional growth and career development. The students were given practical advice on which disciplines they should pay special attention to now in order to be in demand by specialists.
